Admission Procedure

To ensure a smooth application process, please follow this simple application procedure.

STEP 1: SUBMIT APPLICATION FORM.
As a first step in the admissions process, the prospective incubatee shall fill in CIIE-CTTC’s standard application form containing the entrepreneur’s business idea. CIIE-CTTC shall present the application to an internal review committee for comments on technical and business feasibility of the idea.
STEP 2: PRESENTATION TO EVALUATION COMMITTEE OF CIIE-CTTC.
If the initial evaluation of the business idea is positive, CIIE-CTTC will arrange a meeting at CIIE-CTTC with the start-up founders, during which the start-up will be expected to give a presentation describing critical aspects of the business idea to an evaluation committee. The presentation should last at least 30 minutes. The presentation will be followed by questions. After the presentation, a final decision will be made regarding the start-up’s admission to the incubator. The start-up will be informed of the final decision thereafter.
The constitution of the evaluation committee will be formed by CTTC, Ludhiana wherein technical, financial and other experts will remain as members.
STEP 3: SUBMIT ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS.
In case of acceptance of the applicant to CIIE-CTTC, the following documents shall be provided before registration:
1. PAN Card
2. Soft copy of the passport size photo of all promoters
3. ID Proof of Promoters (PAN CARD/DL/Passport)
4. Permanent address proof

The CIED will review the application and make a decision based on both the written application and presentation. The following list provides some evaluation criteria:
1. Strength of the product idea in terms of its technology content, innovation, timeliness and market potential
2. Profile of the core team/ promoters
3. Quality and persuasiveness of Presentation
4. Intellectual Property generated and the potential of the idea for IP creation
5. Financial/ Commercial Viability
6. Funds requirement and viability of raising finance
7. Time-to-market
8. Break-even Period
9. Commercial potential, demand and requirement in India
10. Potential Scalability

Non-Disclosure
CIED, Ludhiana adheres to strict confidentiality throughout the application process. However, CIED will not sign any “non-disclosure” agreements.
