Rapid prototyping (RP) refers to the physical modeling of a design using a special class of machine technology. RP systems quickly produce models and prototype parts from 3D computer-aided design (CAD) model data, CT and MRI scan data, and data created from 3D digitizing systems.
Selective laser sintering (SLS):
Parts can be produced within hours directly from CAD data on Vanguard HS machine in the materials like Nylon, Glass filled Nylon, Polystyrene (used for making patterns for investment casting) and Elastomers (rubber like Parts). These Parts can be directly used for functional fitment testing and assembly.
3D Printing (Polyjet: EDEN260)
Parts can be directly produced from 3D CAD data on Object Eden 260,Polyjet technology in Acrylic based Photopolymer material. Technology enables us to create accurate finely detailed models with 16-micron layers. Models can be used for assembly and functional testing. Various coatings are also possible on these parts.
Vacuum Casting using Silicon Moulds:
Used for making 20 to 40 pieces of functional prototypes made from wide range of Polyurethane Resins similar to ABS, Nylon, Polycarbonate (PC), Polypropylene (PP) and Elastomers etc.
Medical Modeling:
Rapid prototyping Centers offers medical Modeling facility for Producing Medical models directly from CT/MRI Scanned Data. These models can be used for Operational planning, visualization of anatomical structures, Spatial display model, implantation, Teaching aids and to produce customized implants.
